Hope Giving was founded on June 5th, 2019 by Esther Sony with a simple belief: no one should be alone, hungry, or without hope. What makes this team extraordinary is that most of them are young students and working professionals in their early twenties, who contribute their own hard-earned savings, rupee by rupee, to serve those who cannot repay them.

Esther Sony founded Hope Giving on June 5th, 2019, with nothing but a heart full of compassion and an unshakable belief that no one deserves to be forgotten. At a young age, while most of her peers were focused on building careers, Esther chose a different path. She began personally visiting old age homes, orphanages, and the streets of Vizianagaram, spending time with people whom society had left behind. Her vision was never about recognition; it was about looking into the eyes of a lonely elderly person or an abandoned child and saying, “You matter.” Over seven years, she has built trust with four partner institutions, mobilized a dedicated team, and ensured that every rupee donated reaches the people who need it most.

What makes Hope Giving truly special is not the size of its donations, but the size of its heart. Every member of this team is young, many are still students or in the early stages of their careers. They do not wait for wealth to start giving. They contribute from their own pockets, pooling together whatever they can save from their daily lives, because they believe that even the smallest act of kindness can change someone's entire day. They do not serve for recognition, for certificates, or for social media posts. They serve because they simply cannot look away.

Logistical Support
Behind every successful donation drive and supply distribution, there is Gopi working quietly in the background. From loading groceries into vehicles to coordinating delivery schedules across Vizianagaram, Gopi handles the hard physical work that keeps Hope Giving running. He never seeks the spotlight, but without his tireless effort, the supplies would never reach the people who need them.

Triveni is the emotional backbone of Hope Giving. She sits with elderly residents, holds their hands, listens to their stories, and brings warmth to people who have been forgotten by their own families. Her presence alone transforms a routine supply drop into a moment of genuine human connection. She reminds everyone around her that compassion is not about money; it is about showing up.

Volunteer
Still in her early twenties, Varshitha chooses to spend her weekends and free time in old age homes and orphanages instead of malls and movie halls. She scrapes together her own savings to contribute to donation drives, proving that you do not need wealth to make a difference. You just need a willing heart.

Praveen is the quiet force who shows up every single time, without fail. Whether it is carrying heavy supplies, setting up for a distribution drive, or simply being there to help, Praveen never says no. His dedication is a reminder that service does not require applause; it only requires action.

Harika brings energy and warmth to every Hope Giving initiative. She connects effortlessly with children at orphanages, making them laugh and feel loved. Despite her own responsibilities as a young person, she consistently makes time to serve because she believes that the next generation deserves to see what compassion looks like in action.

Sowmya may be young, but her commitment to Hope Giving runs deep. She contributes her time, energy, and personal savings to support the cause, often going out of her way to ensure that donation drives are successful. Her selflessness is a powerful reminder that age is no barrier to changing lives.

Rainbow Orphanage
Distributing book kits, school supplies, and arranging educational support. Every child deserves the tools to learn and build a future.
Mana Kutumbam
Providing clothing, food supplies, and emotional care. Treating every child as family, because that is what they deserve.
Street-Level Outreach
Beyond our partner institutions, Hope Giving reaches unattended individuals scattered across Vizianagaram. We provide meals, clothing, basic medical aid, and work to connect people with shelters and rehabilitation services. No one is invisible to us.

Lunch at ATK Old Age Home
Serving meals to elderly residents. For many of them, this is the only hot meal they will eat today and the only human interaction they will have. Hope Giving volunteers ensure that every elderly person is fed, respected, and remembered.
